Validation

With a BGA membership, institutions can pursue BGA validation. This requires an offsite assessment of a business school’s ability to meet nine criteria, influenced by the BGA Charter. Their programme must build upon the pillars of positive impact, responsible management, and lifelong learning.

In order to apply for validation, business schools must submit a range of information to evidence their ability to meet the criteria. They must detail existing activities that support the continuous improvement of the business school, and how they positively impact stakeholders. The methodology used to support the achievement of validation allows the business school to build a framework for data and information collection. They can also identify areas of improvement that will support them in achieving the goal of BGA accreditation.

Accreditation

Considering a BGA membership? When you choose to become a business school member, your institution will be provided with the opportunity to engage in BGA accreditation. As a non-prescriptive and impact-focused whole-institution quality assurance process, accreditation examines a range of programmes, including certificate and online courses.

BGA accreditation utilises BGA’s Continuous Impact Model (CIM), designed to offer business schools the ability to pinpoint areas of improvement, and measure their change in impact over time through the modification of inputs.

This approach encourages business Sschools to experiment with, and adapt programmes and courses, while using BGA’s criteria and CIM to measure the success of their implementations.
