European Capacity Building Workshop: Unlocking the potential of AI in business schools

This workshop is for business school professionals, programme directors and managers, faculty members, IT and data specialists at business schools in Europe.


This workshop is provided free of charge, however, please note that it is limited to 50 participants
and only those who register first will be guaranteed a space.

As more AI-run software and tools become available to the mainstream, the potential of its use becomes ever-more apparent in a business school setting. From reducing administrative tasks to supporting student learning, business schools are discovering numerous creative ways in how to leverage AI. In this workshop, business school professionals will be exposed to models and software used by other schools, and will have an opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with attendees and speakers on other potential uses as well as successful implementation of the technology.

Meet the speakers

Boryana is a highly experienced professional recognized at international level with a career spanning over 15 years in the field of data analysis and large dataset processing. Her expertise extends across both conventional and cutting-edge machine learning techniques. She has made significant contributions to the academic and applied aspects of this domain via leading and participating in a number of research projects, aimed at improving society challenges such as air quality, prevention of depression, enhancement of investment decision-making and early warning, financial stability and recovery from financial crises.  She is the author of numerous articles, published in prestigious international journals indexed in SCOPUS/Web of Science with notable list of citations.

Bogdanova’s expertise goes beyond her research contributions. She has played a pivotal role in the development of the MSc Program “AI for Business and Finance” as its academic director. She is actively nurturing the next generation of AI and data science professionals though engaging young professionals in the academic life of Sofia University via projects and programs. Among her significant contributions is the development of an industry-funded PhD program. Last but not least, in commitment to societal development, she also serves as the head of the Career Center at FEBA, organizing numerous impactful career events that offer support to high school and university students in finding their fulfilling career path.

Michelle Sisto

Former Associate Dean of Graduate Programmes and Professor of Decision Sciences

Michelle Sisto

Michelle Sisto is the former Associate Dean of Graduate Programmes at EDHEC Business School, where she is also a Professor of Decision Sciences. After 30 years in higher education, Michelle is on sabbatical this year to focus on strategic initiatives involving artificial intelligence and its impact on business schools.

Her track record of academic leadership includes appointments as Associate Dean, Director of MBA, and Advisor to the Dean on Teaching and Learning. Recognised for teaching excellence, Michelle continues to drive pedagogical innovation that evolves with the expectations of students and the needs for the future of work.

Originally from the Washington DC area, she holds a BS in Mathematics from Georgetown University, a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis and a PhD in Finance from EDHEC.

Regina Cordes

Pro-Rector of Accreditation and Professor

Regina Cordes

Regina is a pro-rector of accreditation and professor at IU International University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and chairs IU’s publishing house “IU Media Services”. Over the last 15 years, she has held various roles in Higher Education, among others, she served as an accreditation specialist at IU, as a visiting professor at University of Nebraska, and as Assistant Dean at German Graduate School of Management and Law.

She holds a master’s from Goethe University Frankfurt, and a PhD in management from University of Mannheim. She teaches and researches in the fields of organizational behaviour, leadership, and services management and has published widely in this area.

Victor Hedenberg

Membership Director
AMBA & BGA

Victor is the membership director at AMBA & BGA, responsible for the growth of the business school and student & graduate networks, as well as the services and benefits business school receive upon joining. Having joined AMBA & BGA in 2016, Victor has been involved in numerous successful projects including the AMBA Development Network (ADN), the launch of the Business Graduates Association and its membership and accreditation offering, and the enhancement of the student and graduate membership services offered to AMBA & BGA’s 65,000+ members. He has a strong passion for entrepreneurial management education that emphasises out-of-the-box thinking and responsible management principles.

Victor is a Swedish national educated at Hillsdale College in the US. He holds a degree in economics and business administration.
