About the School
The Faculty of Economics (FEUC), created in 1972, is one of the eight faculties that form the University of Coimbra, whose foundation dates back to 1290. The degree in Economics began operating in the 1973/74 school year, having been followed by the remaining three of the list currently offered by FEUC: Sociology, Management and International Relations. A large part of FEUC's training offer is currently focused on postgraduate training courses.FEUC's facilities are located in the Olivais area and comprise large buildings for school activities, open social areas and a considerable garden area.
With a school population of around 2,400 students, 100 teachers and 27 employees, FEUC has an optimal size and adequate logistics to provide good quality services in an academic environment of great proximity. Its highly qualified teaching staff, dedicated to the performance of academic functions, is characterized by its relative youth, which favors a relationship that is both open and demanding between teachers and students.
