About the School

Zhejiang Ocean University is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. It is one of the key construction universities in Zhejiang Province. Founded in 1958, the school was originally named Zhoushan Aquatic College. In 1975, it was renamed Zhejiang Aquatic College. In 1998, it merged with Zhoushan Normal College to form Zhejiang Oceanic College. After 2000, Zhoushan Health School, Zhejiang Aquatic School, Zhejiang Institute of Marine Aquatic Products, Zhoushan Petrochemical Engineering. Schools and Zhoushan Commercial School and other schools (units) have entered one after another, and their current name was in 2016.
