The International Management Institute (MIM-Kyiv) has received joint accreditation from AMBA & BGA

The International Management Institute (MIM-Kyiv) has officially received joint accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA), two of the world’s leading authorities on business education.

MIM-Kyiv is in Kyiv, Ukraine. The School is a not-for-profit private Business School founded in 1989 and was the first MBA provider in Ukraine. The joint AMBA & BGA accreditation visit assessed the MBA, senior executives MBA and the pre-MBA in Business at the School.

As part of the joint AMBA & BGA accreditation, a panel of assessors comprised of senior Business School leaders from across the globe evaluated the School. The panel commended the fact that the Business School was evidently embedded in Kyiv and the wider Ukrainian society. The panel mentioned that the School’s commitment to delivering programmes in the Ukrainian language was an example of this, and allowed the School to work with various charitable organisations.

The panel also noted that the School benefited from a collegiate and inclusive leadership team. The quality of English spoken by the Business School faculty was also said to be excellent.

‘AMBA & BGA accreditation is of paramount importance for us as a confirmation of the high quality of our programmes and the School. As an accredited institution, we make the latest global developments in managerial thought and practice and responsible management offered by AMBA and BGA accessible for the Ukrainian business community. Moreover, we act as ambassadors of AMBA and BGA to our region and promote their values and principles and instil the highest standards of business education,’ Iryna Tykhomyrova, MIM-Kyiv president said.

AMBA & BGA’s rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre Schools which demonstrate the highest standards in teaching, curricula, and student interaction achieve accreditation.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current and recent graduates of the School’s MBA portfolio are invited to join AMBA’s global membership network of approximately 57,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries.

Meanwhile, all undergraduates and alumni from any of the Business School’s programmes are invited to join BGA’s individual membership network. Through both these organisations, students and graduates can strengthen a community that acts as a force for good in management thought and practice, through exclusive events and business content.

AMBA & BGA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and the organisation works with senior academics at top educational institutions around the world, to update accreditation criteria continuously and maintain one unique, in-depth and detailed approach.

AMBA & BGA believes accredited Schools should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education.  As such, the accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation and challenges Business Schools to perform at the highest level continuously.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of AMBA & BGA, said: ‘Congratulations to the International Management Institute (MiM-Kyiv) for receiving both AMBA & BGA accreditation. This joint accreditation is not only a mark of impressive quality in management education but also a recognition of the Schools commitment to responsible management and the UN SDGs.
