Leveraging the education technology boom to build world-class management education in India

With Covid-19 affecting physical meetings, travel, and traditional on-campus teaching, International Business Schools have had to innovate, adopt and leverage technology rapidly. Business Schools have implemented these adopted technologies in different ways, some proving to be more effective than others.
In a post Covid-19 world, Business Schools will have to re-evaluate their blended learning approach, decide which technologies to employ, how to structure content, and improve upon established programmes.
In this webinar, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the rapid adoption of business education technology by Indian Business Schools, the challenges and opportunities presented, as well as potential pathways to employ technology driven course management. Additionally, attendees will be given recommendations on how to leverage new education technologies effectively for programme design, and how to improve them over time.

Meet the speakers
Andrew Main Wilson Chief Executive of AMBA & BGA:
AMBA accredits 274 Business Schools in 75 countries and also provides membership to 51,000 AMBA Schools’ MBA students and graduates in 150 countries.
Andrew was also Chairman of the United Nations PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) from 2016 to 2018.
Andrew commenced his career with Thomson Holidays (now TUI), then the world’s largest travel tour operator. He progressed to become Marketing and Commercial Director of Thomas Cook and then Sales and Marketing Director of Citibank Diners Club. He subsequently joined the Institute of Directors (IoD) as Chief Operating Officer.
He is an experienced Non-Executive Director (NXD), having served as an NXD on AIM-listed and entrepreneurial startup boards, in the commercial real estate and luxury sectors.
Thothathri Raman is a globally awarded quality champion in Higher Education leadership and is a well-known name in the field of higher education ideation and thought leadership in India. He is the pioneer in introducing Business School ranking in the country and also International Accreditation that is transforming B-school education in powerful ways as a chair of Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA) Trust, New Delhi .
Professor MJ Xavier
Prof. M J Xavier obtained his B.Tech. from CIT Coimbatore(1976), M.Tech. from REC Warangal(1979) and the Fellow title from IIM Calcutta(1984). He served as a research Executive with Mode Research, Calcutta (presently acquired by GFK Global) during 1982-84. He also served in SPIC Limited during 1985 to 1990. Then he moved to academics and taught at IIM Bangalore during 1990 to 1996. After that he held leadership positions in Karunya Institute of technology, IFMR, SRM University, Great Lakes Institute of Management, VIT University and IIM Ranchi. Currently he is serving as a Professor of Business Analytics & Chairperson – Centre for Technology and Innovation in LIBA, Chennai.
He has also taught for two years in CalPoly University in San Louis Obispo, California, USA, and for a semester each in Buckingham University UK, Texas Christian University, USA and the American University of Armenia in Yeravan, Armenia. He has also taught courses on marketing at PIM Colombo, SP Jain Singapore and Dubai campuses.
He has authored 3 books, including the award winning book titled, Marketing in the New Millennium. He has authored more than 100 research papers and has contributed extensively to business dailies and magazines.
He has won several awards that include, Most Motivating Faculty at IIM Bangalore, Chanakya award for Innovative leadership, Amity Academic excellence award, AIMS award for Outstanding B-school Director, ET Now award for Academic leadership and so on.
Having worked at AMBA for more than 16 years, Mark Stoddard is currently Director of Operations for AMBA & BGA, a role in which he oversees a variety of cross-functional projects. He is responsible for the design and development of the full suite of BGA services and accreditation processes, while leading the review of accreditation criteria at AMBA.
Victor Hedenberg is the Business Development Manager for the Business Graduates Association at AMBA & BGA, with responsibilities lying in growing the BGA network, improving the membership and accreditation services, and management of BGA-related projects.
Mr Hedenberg joined AMBA & BGA in 2016 and has since spearheaded the AMBA Development Network (ADN), a platform for institutions looking for AMBA accreditation support, as well as developed the current BGA service and accreditation offering together with the AMBA & BGA accreditation team. He has travelled extensively around the world to meet Business Schools and their senior teams to establish realistic roadmaps for the achievement of BGA accreditation, as well as host and speak at industry-related events.
Mr Hedenberg is a Swedish national educated at Hillsdale College in the United States. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration.
